Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and organized Childcare Director to oversee the daily operations of our early learning center. The ideal candidate will provide strong leadership to staff, ensure compliance with all state and local licensing regulations, maintain high-quality care and education standards, and foster positive relationships with families and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall operation of the childcare center, including staffing, enrollment, curriculum, and financial management.
- Ensure compliance with all state and local childcare licensing and health/safety regulations.
- Recruit, train, and supervise teachers and support staff; provide ongoing professional development and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, enrollment, and child progress.
- Build strong relationships with parents and guardians through open communication, family events, and feedback opportunities.
- Oversee budgeting, payroll, and supply purchasing to maintain efficient operations.
- Monitor classroom environments to ensure they are safe, engaging, and aligned with program standards.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for children and staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (Associate degree may be considered with experience).
- Director’s Credential
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Knowledge of state childcare licensing requirements and accreditation standards.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications with bonus opportunities.
