Alarm Technician. Experience Required. Must have experience with intrusion systems, fire and burglarly systems.
Summary: Responsible for assisting lead techs with the physical installation of systems and system commissioning. This position is also responsible for the installation, programming, upgrading, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electronic and IP and/or software-based systems, including but not limited to, access control, gate operations, video surveillance, and intrusion detection, which includes fire and burglar, while assisting the access control specialist by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Coordinates with office staff, Dispatcher, and other trades for the purpose of completing projects, jobs, and work orders efficiently.
Communicates with the customer to satisfy all security needs, both present and future.
Reads and understands blueprints for Jobs.
Possesses computer skills and knowledge.
Installs devices on access control doors, wires panels, performs troubleshooting and service of installed products.
Service and/or Install CCTV cameras and assists with commissioning.
Service all Alarms and Monitoring customers.
Operates scissor and/or boom lifts during installation.
Assists with making sure projects stay within scope.
Follows HIPPA and OSHA procedures and JCAHO where applicable, such as hospital.
Works with other employees as needed to complete jobs.
Demonstrates the ability to maintain a Class C driver's license, stand for long periods of time, lift over 50 lbs., climb ladders, stairs, and poles, operate large equipment (training if required by customer), perform manual labor, work in enclosed and or confined secure areas, transport equipment, work in inclement weather, and follow noise ordinances.
Drives a company vehicle.
Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items needed for a job and on our vans.
Responsible for potentially traveling out of town for training, continued education, trade journal education, skill performance testing, or assigned dispatches.
Understands that you could be asked to work in the rotation for night calls, weekend calls, and emergency calls.
Recognizes that you could at time be asked to work overtime.
Understands that you could be asked to work out of town.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Commercial Experience with Access Control required.
Must have experience with instrustion systems, burg and fire systems.
Certificates and Licenses:
· Valid driver's license
· Drug free
· Clean driving record

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
