As an Assistant Terminal Manager, you will be a key architect of our daily success, bridging the gap between strategic planning and real-time execution. This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to the General Manager, designed for a logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced, "live" operational environment and is ready to lead a diverse team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Manage daily terminal flow, ensuring the highest standards of safety and on-time performance for our charter, commuter services, and university student transportation services.
- Strategic Resource Planning: Analyze charter itineraries and schedules to ensure optimal resource allocation while maintaining strict compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the central nervous system of the terminal, fostering teamwork between dispatch, maintenance, sales, and customer service teams.
- Performance Management: Monitor dispatch efficiency and provide real-time feedback and coaching to the operations team to drive continuous improvement.
- Incident & Employee Relations: Lead with a "people-first" mindset, managing employee relations and navigating operational challenges with a calm, decisive attitude.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 3 years of leadership experience in passenger transportation.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and adaptable to modern Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Analytical Mindset: Proven ability to assess logistics plans, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills; ability to interface with both front-line staff and executive leadership.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA safety standards is highly preferred.
- Flexibility: While the standard schedule is Monday–Friday candidates must be willing to work weekends or extended hours based on operational needs.\
