Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Job Estimator to join our team and drive our project planning and cost analysis efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project requirements, preparing comprehensive estimates, and collaborating across departments to ensure seamless execution. Your expertise in supply chain management, manufacturing processes, and production planning will be instrumental in delivering competitive bids and supporting our growth. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex projects, optimize resource allocation, and enhance operational efficiency through precise estimation practices. Pay is also commission based, salary to be discussed.
Duties
- Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and technical documents to develop accurate cost estimates.
- Utilize ERP systems such as Blue Beam, Builder Trend and other production management systems to gather data on materials, labor, and logistics.
- Conduct demand forecasting analysis and demand planning to determine material needs and project timelines.
- Prepare detailed spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Office tools like Excel for data analysis and presentation of estimates.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles and inventory management systems to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
- Support master production scheduling (MPS) and production planning processes by providing accurate cost insights that influence scheduling decisions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supply chain management, manufacturing, or production estimation roles.
- Technical proficiency with ERP systems such as Blue Beam, Builder Trend, or similar enterprise resource planning tools.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, logistics inventory management, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and demand forecasting analysis.
- Skilled in using spreadsheets for Excel data analysis, forecasting models, and production scheduling insights.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, inventory management systems, and production management systems.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills to coordinate with various departments effectively.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications accurately.
- Prior experience with demand planning software or demand forecasting analysis is highly desirable.
