District Literacy Coordinator

Position Summary:
The District Literacy Coordinator will serve one or more local educational agencies (LEAs) to support comprehensive literacy teaching and learning systems. This may include supporting: HQIM implementation, MLSS systems, literacy coaching, professional development and materials purchase and alignment. The District Literacy Coordinator will work on site within the district they serve. Funding is dependent upon congressional appropriation each year. The District Literacy Coordinator will be supervised by the Assistant Superintendent of Academics.
Qualifications:
- Preference for a Master's degree in education with a focus on literacy
- Minimum 5 or more years of experience in K-12 education
- Level 3 NM teaching license
- Preference for reading endorsement
- Completion of LETRS training and / or AIM Pathways training
