SAT/ACT/LSAT tutor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate ISEE, SAT, ACT & GRE tutor to provide mainly in-person tutoring to students in 5th-12th grade. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Math & English, Bachelor's degree(Master's, preferred)and will be comfortable with standardized tests and the strategies needed to do well on them. This role involves working closely with students to enhance their learning experience, foster academic growth, and build confidence in their abilities.

Duties

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
• Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in-person & online.
• Utilize learning technology and educational resources to enhance the tutoring experience.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Assist students with homework assignments and exam preparation.
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and motivation.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding student progress.
• Willing to take a modified, practice test as part of the interviewing process.

Skills

• Strong writing skills for creating clear lesson plans.
• Strong grasp of Math concepts and problem-solving techniques.
• Experience working with students of different ages, including adult education.
• Proven tutoring experience that demonstrates effective teaching methods.
• Familiarity with learning technology tools that facilitate remote or in-person learning.
• Excellent classroom management skills to maintain an organized and productive environment.
• Ability to present information clearly and engagingly to ensure student understanding.
• Be comfortable supporting learners with unique needs.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 15 per week
