What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Director of Nursing position at Academia Medical Institute?
Academia Medical Institute is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as Associate Director of Nursing in a hands-on leadership role supporting the continued development and strengthening of our nursing program.
This is an opportunity for a nurse leader who wants to step beyond the classroom and play a meaningful role in shaping program outcomes, supporting faculty, and strengthening compliance in an academic environment.
We are a growing program focused on accountability, student success, and continuous improvement, and are looking for someone who wants to contribute to that momentum - not simply maintain the status quo.
What You’ll Do
- Play a key role in supporting compliance with Ohio Board of Nursing and accreditation standards
- Assist in developing, mentoring, and holding faculty accountable to performance expectations
- Support clinical coordination and lab operations to ensure consistency and quality
- Contribute to student progression, remediation, and retention strategies
- Monitor program outcomes and participate in continuous quality improvement efforts
What We’re Looking For
- Active Ohio RN license
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (required)
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical RN experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching in postsecondary nursing education
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Exposure to accreditation, compliance, or regulatory processes
This Role Is a Strong Fit For Someone Who:
- Wants to grow into or expand within academic leadership
- Takes ownership of outcomes rather than waiting for direction
- Is comfortable addressing student and faculty challenges directly
- Has ideas for improving programs and wants the opportunity to implement them
This Role May Not Be the Right Fit If:
- You are seeking a primarily clinical or bedside-focused position
- You prefer a highly structured environment with minimal change
- You are not comfortable with accountability tied to program outcomes
If you’re a strong nurse leader who values structure, compliance, and student outcomes, we invite you to apply.
Salary : $110,000 - $120,000
