Part-time position; every other weekend (including holidays)

Saturday: 2p-8p

Sunday: 8a-2p

Job Functions:

  • Inputs and maintains, monitors, communicates verbally and in writing with medical emergency system staff and takes appropriate action as it relates to the medical emergency system. Tests resident’s pendants and medical emergency system call boxes monthly. Updates personal information form regularly – every time resident has a change in their medical history.
  • Operates Welsh Bush Road entrance access gate; acknowledges campus visitors – obtains name and destination.
  • Updates, maintains, and distributes resident lists: birthdays (includes sending cards); phone numbers; roll call lists; (letter) sign-off lists; rollaway bed request forms; front desk visitor register; numerous miscellaneous forms. Enters work requests in PMWorx; tracks and documents residents in hospital, away, memorial building guests, room service, etc.
  • Answers incoming phone calls; transfers calls to appropriate office; makes outgoing calls to residents (doctor appointment pick-up times); sends event reminders.
  • Conducts oneself professionally with residents and guests, following customer service procedures.
  • Creates and maintains dinner attendance sheets; enters info into Excel; tracks used dinners for monthly billing; follows up on residents absent without notification with Masonic Care Community Security. Creates spreadsheets in Excel for attendance; Merges with database to create attendance sheets to print.
  • Assists and oversees scheduling of doctors appointments; sends appointment info to Masonic Care Community switchboard; informs resident of pickup-time; tracks add-ons and cancellations.
  • Sends forms to incoming residents for phone and cable hook-up and medical emergency system information; follows up on requests.
  • Performs related duties of the department as requested by Management.

Qualifications:

  • High School education or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a busy office environment preferred.
  • Must be customer service oriented, and have an appreciation for the elderly and a genuine desire to serve them.
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Experienced with personal computers, including but not limited to Windows, Excel spreadsheets, data entry functions and Microsoft Office.

The base rate for this position is $16.00 per hour commensurate with work location, experience, skills, certifications, education & prior accomplishments.

The position may be eligible for additional compensation not listed here, including but not limited to shift differentials, incentives or bonuses, as applicable.
