Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a CASAC T (Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor Trainee) located in Bronx, NY. The CASAC T will provide counseling services, case management, and advocacy to individuals seeking recovery support. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, facilitating individual and group sessions, monitoring client progress, and maintaining accurate and timely documentation. The role will also involve providing education and resources to clients and their families while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Counseling and Case Management with a focus on substance use treatment
- Experience with Developing Treatment Plans and Conducting Assessments
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and the ability to engage effectively with clients and families
- Knowledge of Documentation Standards and Regulatory Compliance
- Familiarity with Trauma-Informed Care and Culturally-Competent Practices
- Relevant certifications, such as CASAC T certification (required)
- Bilingual Spanish proficiency is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
