Job Description
Summary/objective
Responsible for providing excelled customer experience at the Waterpark Cafe.
Essential functions

- Provide quality food service and customer service
- Cook and/or prepare food items such as sandwiches, wraps, salads, smoothies, parfaits and snacks
- Maintain clean and organized work areas and café seating areas; perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes to ensure sanitary equipment and facility
- Brew coffee and tea, and fill beverage containers as needed
- Safely operate cafe appliances/equipment to include but not limited to: oven, grill, smoothie machine, meat/cheese slicer, microwave
- Continuously practice safe food handling techniques
- Solicit, receive, and respond to member feedback regarding the menu offerings; share feedback with supervisor
- Process POS transactions accurately and in an efficient manner
- Ensure security of cash drawer, reconcile daily receipts
- Know and adhere to cafe opening and closing procedures
Requirements
Physical demands
- Must be able to stand, move, walk, and bend for the duration of a shift
- Ability to reach, pull, push and use repetitive arm, hand, and leg motion
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- Must have ability and willingness to work varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Required competencies, education, and experience
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Prior customer service experience highly desired
- Prior experience handling payments and cash registers
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Superior customer service skills
- Ability to work well and effectively as part of a team
- Ability to safely operate café appliances/equipment outlined above
- Must be at least 15 years old
