Position Overview
Facilitate the processing of Payroll for the 5 Skilled Nursing Facilities. Ensure the timely payment of all employees and the appropriate accounting of all expense. Also responsible for Payroll reporting and communication to the facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Processing of Payroll
· Enter all employee changes sent to the central office
· Verify all new employees entered
· Check for missing punches on a daily basis an communicate to the schedulers and dept heads in the facilities to ensure there are no missed punches as of payroll processing day.
· Receive the payroll worksheet on payroll day and ensure that all bonus’s and adjustments are entered into the payroll system.
· Verify all time off is recorded and it is verified that employees have time available to use
· Ensure all holidays and worked time is paid accurately.
· Finalize and process weekly payroll
· Communicate net payroll amounts to the accountant assigned to each home
· Save all payroll reports to the shared drive
· Do the excel payroll reports to compare to budget and send to the administrators and VP of Ops by the end of the same payroll week
· Assist employees and facility personnel with any payroll questions or issues.
· Cross train and act as backup for Central AP Coordinator
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
Knowledge/Skills – preferred
· 3-5 years’ experience in Payroll processing
· Basic Accounting skills
· Work with people in a culturally diverse population, including staff, residents and family members.
· Ability to multi-task, handling multiple applications at once.
· Highly organized, motivated and eager to resolve issues as they arise.
· Maintain excellent communication with vendors, administrators and the BO liaisons in the facilities
· Education: High School diploma required; Post HS coursework/Associate Degree preferred
