Program Description: Acenda’s Mental Health Urgent Care Walk-In Clinics provide immediate, same-day access to behavioral health support for individuals experiencing emotional distress, mental health symptoms, or situational crises. Designed as an alternative to emergency room visits, our clinics offer a compassionate, safe, and stigma-free environment where individuals can receive short-term counseling, crisis intervention, psychiatric evaluation, and referral to ongoing care. We serve adults across Cape May County, helping to stabilize individuals and connect them to the appropriate level of support—when they need it most. Our dedicated multidisciplinary team is passionate about reducing barriers to mental health care and creating pathways to recovery and wellness in the communities we serve. As the mental health clinician, you will be part of this dynamic team providing assessment, treatment and wellness services to individuals who have mental health diagnosis. Job Overview: Join Acenda’s EISS program and make a difference in the lives of individuals experiencing a mental health and behavioral health crisis. Support them within the EISS team of caring and professional peers, nurses, clinicians, APNs and administrative staff. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, screen, counsel, and support individuals in crisis to receive rapid and supportive care while awaiting linkage to long term services. Utilize assessment and evidenced-based modalities to ensure the most successful outcome for the individual's needs. Ensure proper service linkage to appropriate level of care and flow upon exiting our 30-day Early Intervention Support Service Contribute to supporting individuals maintain services within the community and decrease use of hospital emergency rooms.
