Job Overview The CADC Intern is an active member of the clinical team and provides recovery support services to clients within the Acenda’s CCBHC, serving individuals who may be experiencing persistent mental illness, addiction, and other physical or behavioral health needs. As an integrated health organization Acenda values the use of evidence-based practice or EBP's. Program Info The Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC's) are responsible for directly providing nine types of services, with an emphasis on the provision of 24-hour crisis care, utilization of evidence-based practices, care coordination, and integration with physical health care. Key Responsibilities Demonstrates competent written and verbal communication with referral sources and external customers. Uphold ethical standards in accordance with Social Work Code of Ethics. Serve as a key partner on the team and provide important input in our delivery of recovery services. Effectively engage with all client populations. Collaborate with Acenda team members to implement evidence-based mental health services. Provide appropriate intervention strategies and adjust services accordingly. Be part of a care team in providing individual and group recovery focused counseling. Attentive and responsive to customer needs in a helpful, supportive, and timely manner. Works collaboratively with coworkers and agency staff to effectively communicate and problem-solve. Meets obligations of the program (contractual, licensing, Medicaid, etc.) and follows program policies and procedures. Must be sensitive, flexible and responsive to gender, race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, religion, age, sexual orientation or any other special needs as reflected in the ability to communicate with staff and/or clients. Operates conscientiously in accordance with program budget (i.e., use of client engaging funds, office supplies). Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements: A New Jersey CADC in good standing or actively pursuing CADC as an Intern. Prior experience providing clinical care within a recovery-oriented program preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft office, Excel, and the use of Electronic Medical Records. Ability to take initiative, be creative, dependable, reliable and work well independently. Ability to analyze work, set goals, develop plans and utilize time effectively and efficiently. Professionalism and commitment to excellence in care. Must be able to communicate any performance concerns or training needs to supervisor in an appropriate and timely manner. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle, and an acceptable driving record Additional Information Base Pay: $45,100 Bilingual Rate: An additional $3,120 added to the base pay if Spanish proficient.
