AC Service Today is an established residential HVAC company expanding into plumbing.

We're not starting from zero. We already have an existing customer base, an experienced office team handling scheduling, dispatch and customer communication, a proven residential service operation, and marketing support designed to generate opportunities as the plumbing division grows.

We're hiring one experienced Lead Residential Service Plumber to help launch and build the division.

This is more than another plumbing position. It's an opportunity to get in at the beginning, run calls, help establish how we serve customers, and play a major role in building the plumbing side of the company.

Because we're a growing dual-trade HVAC and plumbing business, residential HVAC experience is strongly preferred. During the plumbing ramp-up, you'll also have the opportunity to support HVAC service needs based on your experience and qualifications.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair residential plumbing systems.
• Service and install water heaters, including tank and tankless systems.
• Perform drain cleaning and common residential drain repairs.
• Diagnose and repair toilets, faucets, fixtures, disposals and other common plumbing systems.
• Identify opportunities for water treatment, filtration and softening solutions.
• Perform larger plumbing repairs and installations as the division grows.
• Present homeowners with clear Good / Better / Best options when appropriate.
• Explain findings and recommendations in simple, homeowner-friendly language.
• Own the customer experience from initial diagnosis through completed work and final testing.
• Maintain clean job sites and document completed work with photos and notes.
• Recommend memberships, preventative maintenance and additional services when they genuinely benefit the customer.
• Support residential HVAC service work as needed based on experience and certifications.
• Help establish plumbing processes, truck stock, tools, standards and best practices as we build the division.
• Help train and develop future plumbing team members as the department grows.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Current journeyman plumbing license, competency card or equivalent plumbing credential acceptable for work in our Ocala FL service area.
• Strong residential service plumbing background.
• Residential HVAC service experience.
• Ability to independently diagnose, present options and complete residential service work.
• Strong customer communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Professional, dependable and accountable.
• Ability to pass required background screening and drug screening.

Preferred:

• EPA Section 608 HVAC Certification.
• 5 years of residential service plumbing experience.
• Experience working in both plumbing and HVAC.
• Tankless water heater experience.
• Drain cleaning and sewer experience.
• Water treatment or filtration experience.
• Experience with Good / Better / Best option presentation.
• Experience helping lead, train or develop other technicians.

Compensation — A Producer's Seat

Target annual earnings: $85,000 – $115,000

This position is designed for a skilled service professional who wants the ability to increase earnings based on production and performance.

Compensation will include a base/hourly component for applicable non-production work along with commission-based compensation on qualified service and installation revenue.

There is no artificial ceiling on earnings for strong producers.

As the plumbing division grows, so does the opportunity for responsibility, leadership and income.
