Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to roadside assistance calls, providing expert support for vehicle breakdowns, flat tires, battery jumps, lockouts, and other emergencies.
- Diagnose vehicle issues accurately using mechanical knowledge and specialized tools such as power tools and scan tools.
- Perform on-the-spot repairs or replacements of vehicle components, including tires, batteries, belts, hoses, and other mechanical parts.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to carry out repairs with precision and safety.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Maintain detailed records of service performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings for each incident.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies to protect yourself and others.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle repair or maintenance.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures including tire changes, battery replacements, fluid checks, and basic repairs.
- Ability to quickly diagnose problems using technical skills and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong communication skills to explain repairs clearly to customers or dispatch teams.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate emergency service vehicles if required.
- Nice-to-have skills include experience with vehicle electrical systems and certifications related to automotive repair.
