Duties
- Safely operate a box truck to deliver produce to various locations, adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and route schedules
- Load and unload shipments using, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques while following safe lifting practices
- Verify delivery orders, ensure accurate documentation, and obtain signatures upon delivery completion
- Manage warehouse inventory by moving goods using, pallet jacks, or manual handling equipment
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Assist with warehouse organization, including stacking, storing, and retrieving stock efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions or concerns during deliveries and pickups
Skills
- Proven warehouse experience with knowledge of inventory management and manual handling techniques
- Commercial driving experience with a valid driver’s license , DOT card and familiarity with box trucks or similar vehicles
- Experience in delivery driving, including route planning and time management skills
- Strong understanding of safe lifting practices for heavy loads and proper weight handling in the workplace
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and safety standards
- Ability to operate pallet jacks safely.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude during interactions with clients and team members
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, moving goods, and standing for extended periods
