An HVAC Retail Installer at A/C Mechanix is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across the Greater Orlando area.
Key Responsibilities
- Install ductwork, including supply and return ducts, ensuring proper sizing, placement, and sealing
- Install refrigerant lines, condensate drains, and other piping components per specifications
- Mount and secure HVAC equipment such as air handling units, heat pumps, furnaces, and condensing units
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Coordinate with other tradespeople on construction sites
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Adhere to safety regulations and building codes
- Minimum one year HVAC installation experience with EPA certification
- Valid driver’s license and clean MVR report
- Ability to use power tools effectively
- Pass drug screen and background check
- Lift objects safely over 50 pounds; climbing, standing, kneeling capability
- Wear company-approved personal protective equipment per OSHA regulations
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and components
- Blueprint and schematic interpretation skills
- Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems
