Director, Technical Program Management

Position Overview

The Director of Technical Program Management will lead AC Future’s development programs from concept through product launch. They will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge from previous product launches and understand the methodology, flexibility and grit involved in bringing an idea from concept to reality. This role will be the “Tip of the spear” on defining, planning and executing all new projects and initiatives at AC Future.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute technical program plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and deliverables.
• Lead and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams both internally and externally to ensure seamless project execution.
• Drive the development of both hardware and software products from concept to production (0-1).
• Manage early-phase and conceptual initiatives, setting the foundation for future growth.
• Act as an Individual Contributor when needed, demonstrating hands-on problem-solving skills and adaptability in a dynamic startup environment.
• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of technical programs, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and provide regular updates on program progress.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10 years of experience in program management or a related field.
• High proficiency in program planning, including scope, budget, schedule, and execution.
• Proven experience with launching products from concept to production (0-1).
• Familiarity with both hardware and software development processes.
• Previous experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner is preferred.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
