Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring and system layouts.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code).
- Diagnose electrical issues through systematic troubleshooting procedures to identify faults in complex systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage circuits.
- Ensure all work adheres to electrical safety procedures, local electrical codes, and industry best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new installations or renovations, including framing carpentry and schematic reading for seamless integration of electrical components.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports, repair logs, and schematic updates.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems.
- Valid journeyman electrician license or equivalent certification demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, low voltage systems, and electrical diagnostics tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
- Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, schematics diagrams, and blueprints accurately.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 compliance standards along with local electrical codes for safe installation practices.
- Skilled in troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic techniques including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
- Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving electrical wiring, schematics reading, and schematic diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent hand tool proficiency for precise electrical work.
- Knowledge of high voltage systems along with safety procedures for working on energized equipment.
- Additional skills such as handyman experience or frame carpentry are considered a plus for versatile project support.
