Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly those in personal care homes or group homes. This role requires a blend of caregiving skills, including dementia care, meal preparation, and monitoring vital signs, ensuring a safe and clean environment for our clients.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are communicated to healthcare professionals.
• Maintain a clean and organized living space for clients, adhering to hygiene standards.
• Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
• Provide first aid assistance when necessary and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Support clients with dementia care by employing patience and understanding in daily interactions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caregiving or personal care roles is preferred.
• Ability to assist with meal preparation and maintain cleanliness in the home environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
• Must be able to drive and have a valid driver’s license.
• Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.

Pay: $10.60 - $14.00 per hour
