We are seeking a motivated, tech-savvy, and relationship-driven Sales Representative to join our team of experts. In this role, you will be the face of AC Audio Video, helping residential, commercial, and automotive clients design the systems of their dreams. From high-end luxury home theaters and smart home automation (Control4) to commercial technology and custom car audio/remote starts, you will translate client needs into cutting-edge technology solutions.If you love technology, enjoy building lasting relationships, and want to help clients "make life easier through technology," we want to hear from you.Responsibilities
- Consultative Selling: Meet with residential, commercial, and automotive clients to assess their technology needs, lifestyle goals, or business objectives.
- System Design & Proposals: Collaborate with our engineering and technician teams to design custom solutions (smart home automation, home theaters, networks, or custom car audio) and present clear, accurate proposals to clients.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with local builders, interior designers, architects, and walk-in retail customers to generate referral business.
- Project Hand-off: Act as the bridge between the client and our installation team, ensuring project scopes, schematics, and client expectations are clearly communicated to technicians.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up to date on the latest industry trends and product offerings, including Control4 automation, distributed AV, networking, and mobile electronics.
- Showroom Management: Greet walk-in clients, demonstrate showroom equipment (smart home tech, audio systems), and maintain a clean, professional sales environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in technology sales, custom AV integration, cellular/electronics sales, or automotive aftermarket sales is highly preferred.
- Tech-Savvy: A strong interest in electronics and the ability to grasp technical concepts quickly (low voltage systems, smart home ecosystems, and networking).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technology in simple, accessible terms to clients.
- Design Mindset: Ability to read basic floor plans or schematics to understand how equipment will fit into a client's space is a plus.
- Customer-Focused: A proven track record of meeting sales goals through a consultative, relationship-first approach rather than aggressive high-pressure tactics.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced tech certifications or sales training is a bonus.
