Role Description The Restaurant Server role is a full-time, on-site position based at Abyssinia Memphis Restaurant in Memphis, TN. The Restaurant Server will greet guests, present menus, answer questions about dishes and ingredients, and provide attentive table service from order taking through payment processing. Daily responsibilities include serving food and beverages, coordinating with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate orders, and maintaining a clean, organized dining area. The Restaurant Server will also help set up and break down the dining room, support takeout orders as needed, and follow all health, safety, and cleanliness standards. The role requires a strong focus on guest experience, respectful communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Food Service and Food & Beverage operations.
- Demonstrated Customer Service and Communication abilities with diverse guests.
- Basic Food Preparation knowledge and understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, carry trays safely, and move efficiently in a busy restaurant setting.
