What are the responsibilities and job description for the ABX LINE MTC REP (BWI) position at ABX AIR?
SUMMARY: This position performs preventative maintenance, repairs, modifications and other line maintenance of aircraft, components and related equipment in accordance with specified manuals, procedures and FAA regulations; Communicate with all departments within the company; travel for station coverage, training and other maintenance support. Maintain company stations in accordance with company processes and procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, modifications and other line maintenance of aircraft
• Perform scheduled aircraft inspections
• Perform work to clear non-routines in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures
• Maintain outbase station per ABX procedures
• Maintain station manuals and parts and tooling inventory in accordance with proper manuals
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS:
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and ability to successfully pass an MVR background check
• Airframe and powerplant license
• 2 years of experience in all phases of commercial transport aircraft
• Ability to independently troubleshoot aircraft systems, interpret wiring diagrams and evaluate structural damage
• Aircraft systems and technical knowledge, concentrating on aircraft type at the station applying for
• Ability to travel on company aircraft as required for AOG aircraft
• Ability to obtain SIDA badge (federally required background to obtain access to airports, aircraft and air cargo
PREFERRED SKILLS:
• 4 years experience in all phases of commercial transport aircraft
• 2 years hands-on line maintenance experience on type aircraft operated by ABX
• 757/767 experience
