Abundant San Francisco
Gordonsville, VA Intern
POSTED ON 8/31/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 9/29/2026
Bring your CMA skills to a high-performing outpatient environment where every day offers variety, teamwork, and meaningful patient connection. In this role, you will support a busy Primary and Specialty Care clinic at Zion Crossroads, helping patients move confidently through their care experience while working alongside providers across a broad range of clinical specialties.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Certified Medical Assistant who enjoys a fast-paced, highly collaborative ambulatory setting and wants exposure beyond a single specialty. You will be part of a team known for strong patient satisfaction, exceptional service, and a culture where learning, adaptability, and teamwork matter.

The Role

As a Certified Medical Assistant in Primary and Specialty Care at Zion Crossroads, you will play a key role in supporting patient care, provider workflow, and clinic operations. This multi-specialty outpatient environment gives you the opportunity to interact with up to 24 specialties and subspecialties, creating a level of clinical variety rarely found in one clinic setting.

An average day may include preparing patients for visits, supporting providers during procedures, managing patient communications, and helping ensure that follow-up needs are handled efficiently and compassionately. The pace is active, the responsibilities are diverse, and your work directly impacts how patients experience care.

In This Role, You Will

  • Room patients and help prepare them for provider visits
  • Support medication refill workflows and patient follow-up
  • Process clinical paperwork and assist with administrative needs
  • Communicate results and care information to patients as directed
  • Assist providers with a variety of clinical procedures
  • Partner with nurses, providers, and administrative teammates to keep the clinic running smoothly
  • Contribute to a patient-centered environment recognized for outstanding patient experience
  • Build confidence across multiple specialties while developing broader ambulatory care expertise

This position is well suited for someone who enjoys clinical variety, strong team connection, and the opportunity to keep learning every day. Candidates who thrive here are team-oriented, adaptable, patient-focused, and energized by an environment where no two days feel exactly the same.
