What are the responsibilities and job description for the Classroom Assistant/ Substitute position at Abundant Life Ministries Mother's Day Out?
Abundant Life Ministries Mother's Day Out is a fun-loving Christian environment. We are needing part time subs to cover classrooms when needed.
Duties:
- Provide attentive and nurturing care to children in a childcare setting
- Create a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and play
- Implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs created by lead teacher.
- Assist with feeding, and diapering as needed
- Monitor children's behavior and implement appropriate behavior management techniques
- Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of the children
Requirements:
- Previous experience in babysitting, nannying, or childcare is required
- Knowledge of childhood development and early childhood education principles
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom or group of children
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education in early childhood education is a plus)
- Ability to pass a background check
