Overview
The Nurse Supervisor (RN) provides clinical oversight and supervision of care services to ensure the safety and well-being of clients. The RN conducts client assessments as needed, supports care planning, supervises caregivers, and ensures that services are delivered in accordance with agency policies and applicable regulations.
Duties
- Clinical Oversight
- Provide clinical guidance and support to caregivers and agency staff
Client Assessments
- Conduct initial and ongoing client assessments as needed
- Participate in the development and review of individualized care plans
Caregiver Supervision
- Supervise caregivers providing personal care services
- Evaluate caregiver performance and competency
- Provide training and clinical instruction when necessary
Monitoring and Reporting
- Monitor client conditions and recommend changes to care as needed
- Review documentation and ensure compliance with agency standards
- Report any concerns related to client safety or quality of care
Compliance
- Ensure adherence to state regulations and agency policies
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities
- Ensure services are delivered safely and in accordance with the plan of care
Work Schedule
The Nurse Supervisor may work on a part-time or as-needed (PRN/contract) basis, depending on client needs and agency requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical knowledge and supervisory skills
- Ability to assess client needs and support care planning
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Education and Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maryland
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Experience in home care, community health, or related field preferred
- CPR certification required
Work Environment
Services are provided in client homes and occasional office settings. Travel may be required to conduct assessments and supervisory visits.
Pay: $39.99 - $48.16 per hour
