Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and be skilled in various therapeutic modalities. This role involves providing high-quality care to clients, including children, families, and individuals with diverse needs. The Clinician will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans while adhering to best practices in patient care.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and intake evaluations for clients.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Psychodynamic Therapy.
- Develop treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of clients, including those with PTSD, developmental disabilities, and addiction issues.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and manage crisis situations effectively.
- Engage in direct support and case management for clients, ensuring continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and coding standards (ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT).
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and referrals.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives to enhance therapeutic practices and outcomes.
- Provide education and support to families regarding mental health issues and treatment options.
- Utilize telehealth platforms for remote counseling sessions when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Valid licensure as a mental health professional (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) is preferred.
- Experience working with children and families is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with behavioral health practices including crisis management, behavioral therapy, and grief counseling.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, patient assessment techniques, and clinical documentation standards.
- Experience with special populations such as geriatrics or individuals with autism is a plus.
- Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities including Art Therapy, Dance Therapy, or Applied Behavior Analysis is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
