Job Overview
The Activities Director plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents and children living in an affordible apartment complex. We focus on providing after school support for children who reside in the listed apartment complex daily, Monday through Friday, assisting them with homework, reading, math, arts & crafts as well as enrichment activities. Adult residents at the apartment complex are provided with support from the business community to include, but not limited to healt fairs, counseling, home buyimg, credit support and other activities to enhance a higher quality for all residents and families residing in this complex.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program tailored to the interests and abilities of residents.
- Plan and coordinate events that fosters interactions and support for a safe and wholesome environment.
- Facilitate group activities that promote socialization, cognitive function, and physical health.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback to continually improve programming.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff regarding activity schedules and updates.
- Ensure a safe environment for all participants during activities, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Skills
- Strong event planning capabilities with an understanding of needs of residents and children.
- Knowledge of senior care practices and aging issues counseling.
- Excellent communication skills oral and writtem.
- Ability to manage schedules efficiently while being adaptable to changing needs of residents.
- Good computer skills in word, excell, power point and publisher.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
