Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by offering both physical and emotional support. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively in various settings, including home health, long-term care facilities, and memory care environments.
Duties
- Provide direct support to clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Assist with medication administration as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Perform heavy lifting as necessary to assist clients with mobility and transfers.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Document client care activities accurately and report any changes in health or behavior to appropriate personnel.
- Support clients with memory care needs through specialized techniques and activities tailored to their cognitive abilities.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams, including social workers and nursing staff, to ensure comprehensive care for each client.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home health or caregiving is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of patient care practices and principles related to long-term care and home community care.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
