Job Summary:
The Grocery/Center Store Manager oversees purchasing, merchandising, and overall operations for grocery, wellness, bulk, and related sections.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervises Grocery Leads and Grocery Team Members.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manages inventory levels, ordering, receiving, and resets.
- Coordinates shelf planning, planograms, and merchandising standards.
- Builds relationships with distributors and local producers.
- Monitors department sales, margins, and shrink
- Ensures accurate signage and promotional materials.
- Trains staff in stocking standards, customer service, and product knowledge.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Familiarity with natural foods and local product sourcing.
- Strong merchandising skills.
- Ability to track trends and adjust product mix accordingly.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma required.
- 2–4 years of grocery retail experience; leadership preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and stock shelving.
- Frequent walking and bending.
Work Environment:
- Active retail environment with frequent physical tasks.
