Abtrex Industries, a trusted leader in corrosion- and abrasion-resistant linings and coatings for nearly 60 years, is looking for an Industrial Painter to join our team! This position focuses on the application of industrial coatings such as epoxies, urethane, and vinyl esters. This position will be cross trained for Rubber Lining, expanded skills and career growth opportunities.

What You’ll Do:
- Surface preparation and assessment to AMPP standards (NACE/SSPC) relating to abrasive blasting, hand tool cleaning and visual standards.
- Basic knowledge of mixing two-component coating systems (zinc, epoxy, urethane, vinyl ester).
- Maintain and operate airless and air assisted sprayers, guns, brushes, and rollers.
- Basic QC documentation to include surface cleanliness, profile, wet film, dry film and holiday testing.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety and quality control procedures.

What You’ll Need:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Experience applying industrial coatings (zinc, epoxy, urethane, vinyl ester, or similar).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% (expenses covered).
- Comfortable working extended hours and weekends when needed.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and outdoor environments.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to follow specifications closely.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Work Schedule:
Our shop hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with occasional extended or weekend hours for special projects. Field assignments may require travel and shifts of 10–12 hours per day, 6–7 days a week, until project completion. Field jobs include bonus pay and per diem for overnight stays.
