The Opportunity
As the Pega Solution Architect, you will provide technical leadership for Pega platform implementation and modernization initiatives, with a focus on extending the JustGrants solution and related Department of Justice (DOJ) systems. You will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and efficient Pega applications that integrate advanced capabilities such as machine learning, chatbots, and intelligent workflow automation to enhance case management and user experience. This role will be contracted through TSPi, a subsidiary of Abt Global that provides digital services and solutions to clients.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and design for Pega-based solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and federal compliance requirements.
- Drive modernization efforts for existing DOJ systems, including integration with JustGrants and other mission-critical platforms.
- Design and implement Pega applications leveraging AI/ML, intelligent automation, and workflow orchestration to optimize business processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, integration strategies, and performance benchmarks.
- Ensure secure and scalable integration of Pega with external systems such as APIs, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and AWS services.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and Pega guardrails.
- Conduct architecture reviews, performance tuning, and solution optimization for large-scale deployments.
What We Value
- Certified Pega Lead System Architect (CLSA) credential.
- Bachelor’s degree with at least nine years of experience or a master’s degree with at least seven total years of experience.
- Hands-on Pega experience, including in leadership roles in large-scale federal or enterprise deployments.
- Strong expertise in Pega integration patterns and external system connectivity (REST/SOAP APIs, Salesforce, ServiceNow, AWS).
- Proven experience designing and implementing intelligent automation and AI/ML use cases within Pega environments.
- Deep understanding of Pega workflow orchestration, case management, and security best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with federal compliance frameworks and DOJ systems.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architecture and DevOps practices for Pega deployments.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies in intelligent automation and digital transformation.

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of approximately $105,120 to $168,192 and may vary by ten percent depending on candidate geographic location. Salary offers are made based on internal equity and market analysis.
