Absurd is a filmmaker-led AI filmmaking software company and studio. We build tools for directors, writers, artists, editors, designers, and creative teams to make ambitious work that would not have been possible before.
We have award winning filmmakers, original projects, commercial work, events, product experiments, and a growing creative community. Now we need someone who can turn all of that into a world people actually want to follow.
We’re looking for a Social Content Producer — someone equally comfortable with a camera, an edit timeline, a content calendar, and the internet.
This is not a role for someone who only schedules posts or makes generic startup graphics. You’ll help Absurd feel alive, culturally relevant, filmmaker-led, and impossible to ignore online.
What You’ll Do
- Shoot and edit high-quality social content across our office, events, shoots, product demos, filmmaker sessions, commercial work, and narrative projects
- Capture BTS photo and video that makes Absurd, our filmmakers, and our work feel premium, current, and authentic
- Turn events, creator visits, launches, demos, and productions into strong content runs across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels
- Create reels, trailers, short-form edits, creator spotlights, interviews, tutorials, office/process content, product clips, launch assets, and campaign cutdowns
- Help define Absurd’s visual and editorial voice across social
- Build a consistent publishing rhythm without making Absurd feel like a generic AI-content account
- Work with Growth and Creator Partnerships to support creator acquisition, beta onboarding, events, partnerships, product adoption, commercial credibility, and community growth
- Track what performs, identify patterns, and adjust the strategy
- Maintain an organized archive of footage, photos, selects, project assets, and social-ready edits
What We’re Looking For
You are a strong shooter and editor first, with real social instincts on top.
You should be able to shoot polished photo/video in fast-moving environments, edit quickly with taste, understand hooks, pacing, captions, sound, thumbnails, and why people stop scrolling.
You should also know the difference between content that gets views and content that builds a brand.
We’re especially interested in people who:
- Have a real portfolio of short-form work, not just a list of brands
- Can concept, shoot, and edit a video end to end quickly
- Understand film, music, fashion, design, internet culture, creator culture, and emerging creative technology
- Can make a small creative moment feel culturally significant
- Are comfortable at an early-stage company where the systems are still being built
- Can move fast without making everything feel rushed
- Have strong taste, strong opinions, and the judgment to know what should not go online
Experience with AI filmmaking tools is a plus, but taste, editorial instincts, and execution matter more.
What Success Looks Like
In the first 90 days, you will have helped establish a clear visual and editorial language for Absurd’s social channels, built a realistic content calendar around launches, creator activity, films, events, and commercial work, created repeatable content formats, and turned our productions and events into meaningful banks of usable content.
The goal is not just to post more. The goal is to make the right people pay attention: filmmakers, creators, brands, agencies, collaborators, and future team members.
This Is Not
- A Canva-and-scheduling-only role
- A generic corporate social media job
- A role where follower count is the only measure of success
