Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our accounting operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role manages core accounting processes across accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, job costing, and purchase/sales orders, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
You will work closely with accounting, purchasing, and operations teams to maintain accurate financial records, support month-end close, and help ensure the integrity of data within our ERP system.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting standards
- Manage accounting processes for accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, job costing, and purchase/sales orders in compliance with company systems and procedures
- Develop, implement, and maintain recordkeeping and accounting processes using Expandable ERP software
- Reconcile inventory, purchase/sales orders, and job costing accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Support timely monthly close, including reporting on any deviations
- Compute, analyze, and present financial data to inform management decisions; suggest process improvements as appropriate
- Conduct inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies; support shipping and receiving with inventory transactions
- Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with staff across departments
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- 2 years of accounting experience preferred; recent graduates with demonstrated required skills will be considered
- Experience with Expandable ERP software required
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail, mathematics, and reading/writing comprehension for financial documentation
- Sound judgment and critical thinking to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Ability to sit for extended periods, use a computer throughout the day, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Prior experience in an electronics manufacturing or job-costing environment
- Familiarity with cash flow projections and financial resource management
