On-the-job training. We are looking for a devoted and compassionate individual to work in a home setting with our clients. The successful candidate will provide care and support to seniors, including assistance with basic daily tasks such as dressing, bathing, meal preparation , light cleaning and etc. We are looking for a caregivers for our client in Littleton, Client can be difficult to work with at times , it comes from a place of personal struggle and need to independence . We are looking for some one who has experience in this and who is patient and understanding .
In addition to providing meaningful relationships, the successful candidate should be reliable, efficient, punctual and exceptionally well-organized., with transportation and car insurance.
Primary Duties:
Maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment within clients residence. Duties may include light cleaning and straightening of the bathroom, straightening the sleeping and living areas, washing client's dishes or laundry, and other tasks to maintain cleanliness and safety for the client
The performance of all personal care activities contained in a written Plan of Care which may include assisting the client with personal hygiene, ambulation and exercise, dressing, shaving and other duties as assigned.
Reporting changes in the client's condition.
Medication reminders - Preparing necessary items such as juice, water, cups, or spoons to assist the client in the self-administration of medication.
Abides by the agencies infection control policies, including proper hand washing techniques consistent with CDC Guidelines.
Abides by all policies and procedures outlined in the agency . Policy and Procedure Manual, Caregiver Handbook, and Caregiver Training Manual.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior Experience is a plus but not necessary, training will be provided.
- Completion of at least the ninth grade. Preferably a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Completed training for provision of home care tasks to consumers.
- Must pass the agency home care task competency.
- Must be free from health problems that may be injurious to consumer, self and co-workers and must present appropriate evidence to substantiate this.
- Must comprehends the basics of personal care, housekeeping and meal preparation.
- Must understand and respect consumer’s including ethics and confidentiality of care.
- Must be able to understand, read and write English.
