Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, clients, and visitors. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the overall upkeep and appearance of our premises through efficient custodial work.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting floors, surfaces, and fixtures.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and floor polishers (buffing experience preferred).
- Handle trash removal and recycling processes efficiently.
- Conduct minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or repairing fixtures when necessary.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored.
- Follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment during all custodial activities.
- Assist with special projects such as residential painting or industrial cleaning as needed.
- Maintain a detailed log of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues to management promptly.
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience preferred; experience in commercial or industrial cleaning is a plus.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing.
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic maintenance skills including minor repairs or facilities maintenance are advantageous.

Pay: $14.00 per hour
