Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression while managing phone calls with professionalism and courtesy
- Schedule appointments efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, faxing, copying and scanning as required.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and collect patient's copay.
- Prepare and maintain accurate medical records, files, and reports while adhering to health information management standards
- Experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person while maintaining professional phone etiquette
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing speed of at least 10 key digits per minute
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of Mainecare billing and reprocessing claims a plus
