What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Operations position at Absolute Fleet Washing?
Director of Operations — Absolute Fleet Washing
We're building the biggest, baddest fleet washing company in the country. Not a slightly bigger one. The biggest.
We already wash about 4,500 commercial trucks every week. Now we're scaling to 10 locations and beyond — opening new markets, acquiring companies and building one standard of excellence across all of it.
We need a Director of Operations who hears that and gets fired up. Someone who wants to build it with us, build the team to run it, and crush it together.
Who We Are
We're a plow horse, not a show horse. We don't care about titles or looking good. We care about getting it done.
● We win. We compete on every number and we hate losing.
● We find a way. There's always one.
● We own it. When we screw up, we say so, fix it and keep moving.
● We get dirty. Nobody here is above the work.
● We don't stop. We're taking this as far as it can go.
If that sounds like you, keep reading. If it sounds exhausting, this isn't your place.
The Job
You'll work directly with ownership and have real authority to run and grow the operation:
● 3–5 locations now, 10 as we grow
● $10M–$20M in revenue across multiple P&Ls
● 40–60 technicians, 30 trucks, location managers and frontline leaders
● Integrating new acquisitions into one way of operating
Your job isn't to put out fires. Our managers run the day-to-day. Your job is to make them great — build the leaders, systems and scorecards that let us keep raising the bar as we get bigger, and drive the whole company to hit the mark.
You'll own the results: routes, productivity, labor, EBITDA, quality, customer service and equipment. You know the P&L cold, and you're just as comfortable riding a route or walking the yard.
Your success is measured by the leaders you build and what they deliver.
Who You Are
You've run a route-based or field-service operation — commercial cleaning, pest control, landscaping, HVAC, restoration, facilities or similar. B2B is a plus. You're probably a GM, branch, regional or area manager at an entrepreneurial company, and you're ready for something bigger than the job above you.
Fleet washing experience isn't required. Drive is.
This Isn't for You If
● You want to manage from an office
● You care more about the title than the results
● You avoid hard conversations
● You explain misses instead of fixing them
● You want comfortable more than you want to build something massive
Pay
Strong base, plus serious upside tied to profitability and growth. Help us build something huge and you share in it.
