Lead Engineering Manager

In particular, we are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to primarily support our program on-site in Coronado, CA.

Clearance Required for this role: Active DoD Issued Secret Clearance

The Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers in the design, development, and deployment of high-impact solutions. This role combines technical leadership with project management responsibilities, requiring a hands-on approach and a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for defining the team’s vision, working with Product Owners to manage the engineering roadmap, and ensuring the rapid delivery of high-quality, scalable systems.

Major Duties include assisting Government personnel by doing the following:

• Partner with stakeholders to define and communicate the team’s roadmap and
• vision, aligning engineering efforts with overall organizational goals.
• Provide technical guidance and provide hands-on action when necessary
• Running the day-to-day execution of the engineering roadmap, overseeing
• projects from inception to completion.
• Contribute to the design and evolution of technical architectures, capacity
• plans, and tooling strategies, prioritizing technical challenges and resource
• allocation.
• Drive technical architecture discussions
• Maintain appropriate documentation
• Stay current with best practices and emerging technologies in developer
• infrastructure.

Required Skills/Experience.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science
• 10 years writing code
• 10 years of industry experience in an engineering management role in a Scrumbased
• environment
• Motivated by optimizing engineering teams
• Experience with systems, networking, and troubleshooting
• Proficiency in reviewing code
• Experience with full developer tools to include CI/CD technologies, automation
• and pipelines, and automated testing.
• Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to visually present
• complex data and effectively communicate technical details to both technical and
• non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and deployment (build, validate, release,
• operate).
• Proficient technical writing skills
• A DoD Secret security clearance
