About the Role:

As a Cook at Absolut Care of Gasport, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals in our food service department. You will work closely with our dietary team to plan and prepare meals that meet the nutritional needs of our residents, while also ensuring that we meet or exceed all state and federal food safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals for residents, team members, and guests, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner

• Assisted with meal planning and menu development to ensure that our dishes are appealing and meet dietary restrictions

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards

• Work efficiently and effectively to meet high-volume demands, including special requests and events

• Collaborate with the dietary team to plan and prepare meals, including ordering supplies and inventory management

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Prior experience in food service or cooking is preferred

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
