Duties
- Assist with site preparation, including heavy lifting and material handling to ensure smooth workflow
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently for tasks such as framing, drywall installation, and finishing
- Support concrete work by mixing, pouring, finishing, and pumping concrete as needed for foundations, floors, or decorative features
- Install rebar (reinforcing steel) according to schematics and blueprints to strengthen concrete structures
- Perform masonry tasks including bricklaying, stucco application, and tile laying to enhance building aesthetics and durability
- Read blueprints and schematics to accurately execute carpentry, framing, metal stud framing, and roofing projects
- Conduct restoration work such as plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, and renovation tasks to refurbish existing structures
- Operate heavy equipment like forklifts or concrete pumps safely on construction sites while adhering to safety protocols
- Support masonry and metal framing projects by measuring, cutting, and assembling materials with precision
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of debris
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades is highly preferred
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, or technical drawings enhances your effectiveness on diverse projects
- Knowledge of various construction techniques including concrete finishing, flooring installation, tile laying, and roofing is advantageous
- Hands-on experience with heavy machinery operation or commercial driving can be a plus but is not mandatory
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged standing is essential
