What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Medical Technician position at Absarokee EMS?
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) will provide pre-hospital emergency medical care to patients in accordance with Montana state protocols, Department protocols, and Department policies.
Patient Care
- Respond promptly and safely to emergency calls
- Perform patient assessments (primary and secondary surveys)
- Provide BLS care as outlined in Department and State protocols
- Package and transport patients safely
Operations
- Operate ambulances and emergency vehicles safely under all conditions
- Maintain readiness of vehicles, equipment, and medical supplies
- Complete accurate and timely patient care reports (PCRs)
Communication
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, dispatch, and other responders
- Relay clear patient information to receiving facilities and medical direction
Training & Compliance
- Maintain all required certifications and continuing education
- Follow all HIPAA, safety, and agency policies
- Provide at minimum 72 hours of availability per quarter.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Montana EMT certification
- AHA BLS For Healthcare Providers

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
