Responsibilities
- Preparing individual and corporate tax returns
- Analyzing financial statements and reports
- Keeping up to date with changes in tax law and regulations
- Providing advice on tax planning and strategies to minimize tax liabilities
- Responding to tax-related inquiries and assisting in tax audits
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws
- Identifying tax savings and suggesting ways to increase profits
- Reviewing financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations
- Preparing quarterly and annual tax reports
- Assisting in the development of company policies and strategies related to taxation
Requirements
- · Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Tax Accountant, Tax Analyst or Tax Preparer
- CPA certification is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of MS office and accounting software
- In-depth knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping processes
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication and customer relationship skills
