The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit, delivering individualized, age-specific, and direct bedside care in alignment with the nursing process and patient needs. This role collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care planning and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Abrazo West Campus is recognized for providing exceptional, comprehensive care to patients in West Valley communities. The 200-bed acute care hospital offers advanced services, including the da Vinci Xi surgical platform, Level I Trauma Center, Loop-X system, orthopedics, obstetrics and cardiovascular care.

- Serves as a clinical leader by assessing, planning, delegating, and exercising independent judgment in directing other healthcare staff in the provision of safe, effective care.
- Evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, supporting patient goals, and ensuring safety guidelines and work practices.
- Promotes safe and efficient patient throughput in a high-volume acute care setting to optimize workflow and daily operations in a procedure-driven facility.
- Key duties include directing patient care, participation in hourly rounding, and supervision of healthcare team members.
- Special Skills
- We are seeking enthusiastic new graduate nurses who are eager to learn and grow in a supportive environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team are essential.
- Candidates should be prepared to adapt to a fast-paced environment with occasional periods of above-average pressure and demonstrate excellent customer service and basic computer skills. We are committed to providing structured training, mentorship, and hands-on learning opportunities to help you build confidence and succeed in your nursing career.
- Minimum Requirements
- Experience: 1 year of acute care experience in Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit
- Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school
- Certification: License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona, BLS, ACLS are required at time of hire
- Preferred Requirements
- Experience: 2 years of acute care experience in Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit
- Education: BSN
- Certification:
- PALS
- CEN
- TNCC
