Role Description
We are seeking a full-time, on-site Purchasing Manager to join our team in Houston, TX. The Purchasing Manager will oversee and manage procurement activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of quality equipment, supplies, and parts. Responsibilities include vendor selection, negotiation of contracts, inventory control, analyzing supply chain data, and collaborating with internal teams to meet operational needs. Additional duties include ensuring the organization adheres to budgetary constraints and maintaining positive vendor relationships.
Qualifications
- Procurement and Vendor Management skills, including vendor sourcing, price negotiation, and supply chain analysis.
- Inventory Management and Budget Compliance experience to efficiently manage resources and track expenditures.
- Strong Analytical and Decision-Making skills for assessing supplier performance and making data-driven procurement decisions.
- Excellent Communication and Relationship-Building skills to collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams effectively.
- Proficiency in business software and ERP systems is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in procurement within the manufacturing or industrial equipment sectors is a plus.
