What You’d Be Doing
- Lead the annual budgeting process for the publishing division, collaborating with department heads to align financial goals with overall business strategy.
- Conduct ongoing financial analysis to track performance, identify trends, and provide data-driven insights to optimize financial outcomes.
- Oversee book sales, royalties, and revenue streams, ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics, variances, and recommendations.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in data analysis, forecasting or a related analytical role.
- 2-5 years of experience in the book publishing industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in financial modeling and forecasting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP), financial systems, and industry-specific software.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex data insights to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
