Are you someone who enjoys multitasking and providing excellent customer service? Do you have experience working with ophthalmology and/or optometry, as well as scheduling and surgical experience?
Abrams EyeCare is looking to fill a full-time Clinical Triage Coordinator. The Clinical Triage Coordinator will provide administrative support to the clinic and patient services through the oversight of incoming clinical communications and requests, as they relate to the medical doctors, then triaging and addressing them accordingly.
Hours vary from 7:50 – 5 pm Monday – Friday.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer knowledge
- Experience serving in an ophthalmic medical practice
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ophthalmic Technician experience

Job Responsibilities:
- Handles non-surgical tasks, calls, and voicemails for all MD’s.
- Oversees all incoming faxes for all offices Monday through Friday, with exception of referral faxes. Referral faxes and voicemails will only be covered on Mondays and Fridays or when the referral coordinator is out of office.
- Monitors the daytime emergency line and triages and schedules work-ins as necessary.
- Refills patient medications.
- Obtains prior authorizations for medications.
- Supports pre-certification needs, in cooperation with the clinical assistants, prior to follow-up on MRI/CT labs.
- Provides coverage for the surgery coordinators when out of the office or on PTO.
- Provides support as ophthalmic tech as needed.
