The CNC Machinist, Level II, is responsible for operating, programming, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. Position Description
The CNC Machinist, Level II, is responsible for operating, programming, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. This job requires expertise in CNC machining, attention to detail, and commitment to quality by ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

- Proven experience as a CNC machinist in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining techniques.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing highquality work.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Must be familiar with quality standards (ISO9001/AS9100).
- Must have your own tools and know the proper use of inspection tools.
- Operate a CNC machine to produce highprecision components within specified tolerances.
- Complete machine setups by loading necessary tools, inputting program codes, and securing work pieces.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Inspect parts during production runs and finished products for accuracy and quality, making necessary adjustments as required.
- Complete finishing and deburring on parts as necessary.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve any machining issues.
- Keep accurate records of production processes, machine settings, and tool changes.
- Familiarity and ability to work with a variety of materials, including metals and plastics.
- Should possess expertise and thorough understanding in interpreting part prints, dimensioning, as well as tolerance.
- Program CNC machine based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Edit G Code programs on various machines.
- Prove out and edit programs written in G Code.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Live tooling and subspindle experience are preferred.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to CNC machining.

- High school or diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have three to five years of CNC experience.
- Vocational/technical training is preferred.
- Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to move/transport up to 40 pounds at times.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, and squat to access all parts of the machine.
- This is a designated safetysensitive position.
- Must have excellent handeye coordination.
- Be able to work in noisy environments.
