Position Summary
The Inventory & Logistics Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory management, efficient shipping and receiving, and warehouse readiness to support production and project execution. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, requiring strong attention to detail, accountability, and collaboration across Operations and Production teams out of our Texas location.
Essential Job Functions:
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate, real-time inventory records across company systems
- Perform cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliations
- Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Analyze inventory data to optimize stock levels and prevent shortages
- Support continuous improvement of inventory control processes
Shipping & Receiving
- Receive, inspect, and verify inbound shipments for accuracy and quality
- Prepare shipping documentation and coordinate outbound shipments
- Track shipments and proactively address delivery issues
- Support freight coordination and logistics requirements
Warehouse Operations
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment
- Ensure inventory is properly labeled, stored, and accessible
- Follow warehouse safety, handling, and storage standards
- Assisting in loading and unloading inbound and outbound shipments
Production & Project Support
- Stage inventory and materials for Production and project builds
- Partner with Production to ensure materials are available and accurate
- Communicate inventory constraints that could impact timelines
Performance Expectations
- High inventory accuracy with minimal discrepancies
- Timely and accurate shipping and receiving execution
- Production materials staged correctly and on time
- Organized, safe, and audit-ready warehouse
- Proactive issue identification and resolution
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on warehouse environment
- Clear and proactive communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership
- High school diploma required and advanced education in supply chain or logistics considered a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years prior experience in inventory control, logistics, or warehouse operations
- Experience working closely with production or project teams
- Familiarity with inventory or ERP systems (preferred, not required)
- Forklift certification or experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials throughout the workday
- Ability to lift up to standard warehouse weight limits with or without assistance (40 lbs)
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
