What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey Technician / Crew Chief position at Abraham Land Surveying?
We are looking for an experienced Survey Technician / Crew Chief to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing surveys of varying types, most commonly boundary, topo, as-built and construction staking. This position requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to motivate and inspire team members. The ideal candidate will have experience in a supervisory role and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate in a solo environment with a network rover and robot.
- Operate in a crew environment on larger traverse or construction projects.
- Provide guidance and direction to crew members in order to ensure that tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner. This also includes being hands on to get the job done also of course.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed.
- Ensure that all crew members are following company policies and procedures.
- Monitor the performance of crew members and provide feedback as needed.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Show up on time, ready to work, 5 days a week. Typically 40-50hrs weekly.
